8th PJTSAU Foundation Day cum Training Programme on “Better management practices in Turmeric” by KVK, Malyal on 03-09-2022

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal celebrated 8th PJTSAU foundation day at the institute on 03-09-2022. On this occasion all the staff members paid floral tributes to Professor Jayashankar and later proceeded to Komatipalli, Kesamudram Mandal to organize training programme on “Better management practices in Turmeric”. Dr. E. Rambabu SMS (Horticulture) explained about better management practices in Turmeric which includes fertilizer management, weed management, correction of micronutrient deficiencies, pest and disease management. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar SMS (Extension) clarified the queries raised by the farmers on current standing crops of Cotton and Paddy. Sri B. Venkanna, MAO, Kesamudram suggested the farmers to update their eKYC details for getting PM Kisan fund. Sri. T. Arun Kumar, HO, Kesamudram explained about subsidy pattern for Oil Palm cultivation. Later, conducted field visit to Turmeric, Cotton, Oil Palm and Chilli nursery. In this programme, Sri. K. Ravi Verma, AEO, Sri. N. Yakaiah, Sarpanch, Sri. N. Bhadru Naik, Village Coordinator and 42 no.of farmers participated.
