Farmers Training cum Field Demonstration of Drone in DSR at Agricultural Research Station, Kampasagar on 04-02-2022

A training programme cum field demonstration of drone usage in Direct Seeded Rice (DSR) was conducted at ARS, Kampasagar as one of the components of the project “Development of Drone Based Package of Practices in Direct Seeded Rice” on 04-02-2022. The meeting was highlighted with the lectures on Scope of Drones in Agriculture by Dr. P. Raghu Rami Reddy, Principal Scientist (Rice) & Head, RRC, Rajendranagar followed by SOPs in Drone spraying by Dr. N.R.G.Varma, Principal Scientist, RRC, Rajendranagar and Emerging trends in Agricultural drones by Dr.T. Kiran Babu Scientist, RRC, Rajendranagar. A total of 70 progressive farmers from various places of erstwhile Nalgonda district have participated in the programme. The programme was continued with the field demonstration on drone spraying in the farm of ARS, Kampasagar by Dr. P. Spandhana Bhatt, Scientist, RRC, Rajendranagar where the the project is being implemented in collaboration with personal from MARUT start up. In this programme, Sri. Vinay Kumar, DDM, NABARD, Nalgonda participated as a special invitee and given his remarks on the role of NABARD in farmers service. In this meeting, Dr. N. Lingaiah, Senior Scientist & Head, Scientists Dr. V. Sridhar and Dr. G. Shiva Prasad from ARS, Kampasagar, Dr. Shankar, Programme Coordinator In-charge, KVK, Kampasagar and Scientists of KVK, Gaddipally have participated. Sri. Rajaram from Electronic wing, PJTSAU Rajendranagar documented the whole programme.
