Training cum Demonstration Programme on Mechanized System of Rice Intensification

A field day on Training cum demonstration on “Modified mat nursery and tray nursery in machine transplanting of rice” was conducted at Endabetla village of Nagarkurnool district on 22-08-2019. The programme was graced by Dr. M. Venkata Ramana, Principal Scientist & Head, Rice Research Centre, ARI, Rajendranagar, Dr. P. Spandana Bhatt, Scientist (Agro), RRC, Rajendranagar, Dr. K. Sridhar, Scientist (Crop Production), DAATTC, Mahabubnagar, M. Rajashekar, SMS (Crop protection) attended the programme. A total of 51 farmers of Endabetla and Indrakal village and officials from ICICI foundation have participated in the programme.

Mrs. K. Mamatha, Scientist (Agro) explained about importance of mechanization in paddy crop. Dr. M. Venkata Ramana, has briefly explained about the importance of mechanized transplanting in paddy and skills regarding raising mat nursery on polythene sheet for machine transplanting of paddy.
