Training cum Distribution of Groundnut Seed (ICGV 00350) to the Groundnut Farmers under CFLD (Oilseeds) for the year 2021-22 by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli on 13-10-2021
KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial district organized a training cum groundnut seed (ICGV 00350) distribution to the groundnut farmers under Cluster Front Line Demonstrations (CFLD) on oilseeds for 22 No. of farmers of Kistapur village of Jaipur mandal of Mancherial District on 13th October, 2021. Firstly, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Programme Coordinator, KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial addressed the farmers on measures to be taken in yasangi groundnut crop, application of fertilizers, importance of seed treatment and application of gypsum, water management and weed management etc. and suggested the farmers with suitable recommendations in the major crops cultivating in the district and distributed 15.2 quintals of groundnut seed (ICGV 00350) variety to 22 No. of groundnut farmers of Kistapur village of Jaipur mandal of Mancherial District under CFLD oilseeds during the year 2021-22. Further Sri. Vinod Kumar, District Agriculture Officer, Mancherial addressed the farmers on crop diversification, soil test based fertilizers application and suggested to cultivate coriander as intercrop to avoid the major pests in the crop and suggested the farmers to take up inter cultivation operations for better crop growth and yields. For this programme, Sri. Nagarajau Alugoju, SMS (Plant Protection), Smt. U. Sravanthi, SMS (Horticulture), Sri. Bapu, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Chennur Div., Sri. Mark Gladston, M.A.O., Jaipur, Sri. Komuraiah, Sri. Arun and 32 No. of farmers were participated.
