A training program for farmers on Novel seed production techniques in field crop was organised at the kvk hall under the aiges of seed Research and technology department Hyderabad in collaboration with Krishi vigyana Kendra Adilabad. Dr. Sukumar senior scientist Department of seed Research and Technology Centre, Hyderabad participated in the program as the chief guest and urged the farmers to make Telangana a seed warehouse as the seed is the most important factor in agriculture. Dr. swarnalatha, senior scientist Department of Seed Research and technology, Hyderabad informed about the market rate details of seed production in various crops.Similarly kvk program coordinator Dr Y Praveen Kumar has given awareness to the farmers about the high density planting system of cultivation in cotton. Similarly it has been suggested to increase the seed production in soybean, red gram, bengal gram and paddy which are the main crops in the state. Dr Ram Prasad senior scientist and head agricultural Research station explained about insect pests problems and their prevention in seed production. Dr Sridhar Chauhan associate dean, agriculture college Adilabad have been asked to farmers to produce seeds of sesamum, groundnuts, safflower along with soybean, redgram and bengal gram crops crops. In this program Dr Rajendar Reddy,Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Anil Kumar, scientists from Agricultural Research station Adilabad explained about seed production in various crops through PowerPoint presentation. Kvk scientists Dr. K Rajasekhar, Dr. G shivcharan,Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Mohandas and Dr. Poshadri participated in this program. Dr Rajeshwari senior scientist agriculture College Adilabad explained about diseases in various crops in this program. A total of 50 farmers from 10 villages participated in this program and shared their experiences about seed production.
