KVK, Palem organized Training on Nutrition Security through Kitchen gardening under SCSP at KVK, Palem on 25.02.2025. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem created awareness about the need and importance of Kitchen Garden towards achieving nutritional Security. Explained about the recommended quantity of vegetable intake and role of vegetables to combat non-communicable diseases. Distributed Kitchen Garden kits to the SC farmers under SC sub plan. Dr.B.Rajashekhar, SMS (Extension) encouraged the farmers to grow all the required vegetables in their farm or backyard for balanced and diversified nutrition and also become self-sufficient to meet the vegetable requirement of their families. In this training Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem, Dr.B.Rajashekhar, SMS (Extension), Mr.K.Ramakrishna, SMS (Crop Production), KVK, Palem and 42 farmers were participated.
