KVK, Palem organized a Training cum input distribution programme under Oil Seed Model Village project at KVK, Palem on 17.02.2025. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Program Coordinator, KVK Palem has explained the importance of the model village on oilseeds and briefed about the integrated pest management technologies to obtain higher yield levels in sesame crop. Also explained about the management practices of sesame like land preparation, sowing time, water management, nutrient management of sesame. Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS (Horticulture) clearly mentioned fruits and vegetable cultivation in the summer season. Mr. K. Ramakrishna, SMS (Crop Production) explained about weed management practices in present crops. In this programme distributed critical inputs to the farmers viz., Seed of Sesame (JCS 1020) 2.5 Kg, Pendimithalin 1 lt per acre. In this programme Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK Palam, Dr. A. Shankar, SMS (Horticulture), Mr.K. Ramakrishna, SMS (Crop Production), KVK, Palem, Dr. B. Rajashekar, SMS (Extension), KVK Palem, young professionals and farmers A total of 132 members were participated.
