Training programme on Pest & disease management in Cotton under Tribal Sub Plan, 2021-22” by KVK, Malyal on 29-10-2021
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Training programme on Pest & disease management in Cotton at Rythu Vedika, Gudur Mandal of Mahabubabad district on 29-10-2021 to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub Plan project, 2021-22. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) & Co-PI of the project gave powerpoint presentation on “suitable ID crops for Yasangi season”. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about use of different ICT tools in Agriculture and their functioning and also explained about need and benefit of subscription to PJTSAU YouTube channel, Vyavasayam monthly magazine. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal apprised about pest & disease management in Cotton (seed treatment, use of stem applicator, use of bio-fungicides like Trichoderma, Pseudomonas & pheromone traps) and answered the queries raised by the farmers on Rice, Sunflower and Cotton. Sri M. Rakesh, MAO, Sri Muni Prasad, AEO, Gudur, and 42 no.of farmers from 3 TSP villages (Mattewada, Kongarigidda, Nelavancha of Gudur Mandal) participated in the programme.
