Three days training programme on “Horticultural Technologies for Doubling Farmers Income” was organized and conducted from 28.01.2020 to 30.01.2020 at KVK, Kampasagar under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP). Dr. M. A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Kampasagar inaugurated and addressed the tribal farmers about Innovative horticultural technologies and their importance in Doubling Farmers Income on Day1. T. Himabindu, SMS (Horticulture) in Technical Session created awareness and trained farmers on various technologies like Commercial nursery raising, Mulching, Fertigation, Trellies system in Tomato, Pendals and creeper mesh in cucurbits, high yielding and multiple disease resistant hybrids in different vegetable crops. On Day 2 Sri. R.Vidya Sagar (Horticulture Officer), Department of Horticulture attended as resource person and briefed the technologies to be followed in vegetables, fruits and flower crops for higher production and better shelflife. Smt. G.Swathi, Assistant Professor, Agricultural Polytechnique, Kampasagar as resource person briefed on Nursery management in different Horticultural crops and Trellies system in tomato. On Day 3 in forenoon Session Practical class was conducted on vegetable nursery raising in protrays, Trichoderma viridi mixture preparation. In velidictory programme Smt.Sangeeta Laxmi Garu, District Horticulture and Sericulture Officer (DHSO), Nalgonda attended as Chief Guest and emphasised on establishment of Farmer Producers Organizations (FPO’s) by vegetable farmers and created awareness on various activities implemented for Horticulture Farmers in Nalgonda District. Tribal farmers (30 No.) of B.T.Thanda, Water Tank Thanda and Dudya Thanda and were very much satisfied with the training programme. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by S.Pallavi, SMS (Extension) KVK Kampasagar.
