Training programme on Pink bollworm management and Yasangi crops at Bejjanki Rythu Vedika Organized by DATTC Tornala siddipet on 05-11-2022

DAATTC Tornala, Siddipet organized training programme on “Pink boll worm management in Cotton and Yasangi crops ” on 05-11-2022 at Bejjanki Mandal cluster Rythuvedika . During the programme, Sri J. Vijay, DAATTC Coordinator explained about the management of pink ballworm by harvesting the crop before 31st of December and advised the farmers not to extend the crop period beyond January which results pink ballworm incidence severity and for the control of pest follow the IPM practices and farmers were advised to install pheromone traps @ 4/acre in cotton for monitoring and 8 per controlling of pink bollworm. If each trap catch is more than 21 adult moths for three consecutive days, farmers were recommended to spray insecticides like Emamectin benzoate @ 0.4g/lit or Indoxacarb @ 1.0 ml/lit or Spinosad @ 0.3ml/lit or Spinetoram @ 0.9ml/lit. Also distributed pamphlets about IPM practices for control of pink boll worm in cotton. After that, interacted with farmers on Yasangi crops and clarified their doubts about pest and disease management in different crops and suggested crops to be grown after cotton crop during Jan – Feb. MAO. G. Ashok , AEOS Manasa, Renuka, J.Thejaswi, Mounika, Rachana Swetha, ATM Saicharan and 56 farmers 8 Political leaders participated in the programme.
