  • Dr. K. Swathi, Asst. Professor (Horticulture) briefed the importance of pruning as to maintain the proper penetration of light and air and to avoid pests and diseases. Also, to maintain good balance between growth and bearing ability.
  • A. Surender, pruner, Jagtial (D) demonstrated pruning in farmer’s field.
  • Dr. D.A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Agril. Economics) urged the farmers for practicing of pruning technique in a scientific manner to reduce the economic damage.
  • Later, conduced field visit to Jowar (CSV-41) and Finger millet (PRS-2) fields which were given as part of FLDs for promotion of millets in the adopted village.
  • In this programme, Dr. D.A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Ag. Economics), i/c of adopted village, Dr. K. Swathi, Asst. Professor (Horticulture), Sumalatha, A.E.O., Gangareddy, Sarpanch  and 25 No. of farmers were participated.
