Conducted Training Programme on Improved Production Technology of Redgram under CFLD Pulses cum awareness programme on importance of Soil sampling and soil testing by KVK, Kampasagar on 19.07.2022

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar, Nalgonda Conducted Training programme on Improved Production Technology of Redgram under CFLD Pulses cum awareness programme on importance of Soil sampling and soil testing in Nellikal village of Thirumalgiri mandal on 19.07.2022. Dr. M. Shankaraiah Programme Coordinator explained about Soil health Management practices and Use of bulky organic manures for better soil quality for better yield and he spoken about importance of crop rotation with pulse crops to enrich the soil fertility and He also stressed on Soil health cards and its importance. Dr. T. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production) explained about the production technology of Redgram, importance of Organic manures in improving soil organic matter content and also explained how to collect soil sample and advised farmers to go for soil testing every year. Smt A. Ramulamma SMS (Plant Protection) explained about varietal characters of PRG-176, Seed treatment in Redgram, Pest and Disease management in Redgram and demonstrated method of seed treatment with Rhizobium culture. Later distributed Redgram PRG-176 seed along with Rhizobium for seed treatment to farmers under CFLD Pulses and conducted a field visit to cotton crop and answered the queries raised by the farmers in the standing crops. In this programme, Sri. JanakiRam, MAO, Thirumalagiri, Kum. Jyothi, AEO, Nellikal cluster, Kum. Bhavya, Prog. Asst. (Lab), Sri P. Janardhan Reddy, village sarpanch and 44 no. of farmers participated in the programme.
