Training programme on Drumstick cultivation practices on 11-12-2020 by KVK, Palem

Training programme on Drumstick cultivation practices was organized at Ankiraopally village, Kollapur mandal, Nagarkurnool district, Telangana state on 11.12.2020 to the Drumstick growers by KVK, Palem, Nagarkurnool dist. Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS (Horticulture), KVK, Palem given training on Integrated crop management in Drumstick i.e. Selection of annual Drumstick varieties, high density planting, pre bearing crop management, training and pruning techniques, crop regulation, use of micro nutrients and growth hormones, flower and fruit drop control, INM and IPM package of practices, drip and fertigation management and post harvest management explained in detail to the farmers. He was emphasised on adoption of PKM-1 Variety, high density planting, fertigation and farm bond/ border planting of Drumstick would doubles the farmers income. Mr. K. Lakshman, Horticulture officer, Kollapur Division had explained about Govt. subsidy schemes and installation of Drip irrigation system and marketing skills to Drumstick growers. The training programme graced by Sri. Venkataswami, village sarpanch and Sri Lakshma reddy, farmers group Coordinator and 25 Drumstick farmers had participated in this training programme.
