Training Programme on Entrepreneurship Development Through Millet Based Bakery Products At KVK, Kampasagar on 30-01-2020

Training Programme on “Entrepreneurship Development through Millet based Bakery Products” was started on 30.01.2020 for five days at KVK, Kampasagar under Attracting and Retaining Youth in Agriculture (ARYA) Project. Dr. M. A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Kampasagar inaugurated and addressed the rural women about the role of self employment by millets bakery production and value addition. Sri Arun Kumar, District Project Manager, DRDA, Nalgonda as Guest of Honor focused on Self Employment and loans availability under DRDA. Smt.G.Krishnaveni, Research Associate (Home Science) training programme incharge conducted Pre Evaluation test and created awareness on importance of millets for better nutrition Smt. Sugandi SMS (Home Science), KVK, Gaddipally as resource person taken technical sesion created awareness on types of millets & benefits of value added products. On Day 2 Sri. Mattaih (Master trainer), bakery products, Miryalaguda attended as Resource person and briefed the simple easy bakery technologies and demonstrated finger millet biscuits and sorgum biscuits. Smt. G.Krishnaveni, RA (Home Science) created awareness on health benefits of millets and demonstrated the preparation of finger millet laddu and sorgum laddu. On Day 3 Dr. Affifa Jahan, SMS (Home Science), KVK, Palem as Resource person briefed the marketing stratigies of millets products and demonstrated sorgum macroons. Smt. G.Krishnaveni, RA (Home Science), demonstrated and involved trainees in preparation of Foxtail millet murukulu. On Day 4 day Sri. Mattaih (Master trainer), bakery products, Miryalaguda as Resource person demonstrated practicles different products of Finger millet cake, Vermicelli, Foxtail millet bread, Vermicelli, biscuits and Sorgum bundi etc. On 5 and final day Dr. Aruna Jyothi, SMS (Home Science), KVK, Mamnoor attended as Resource person and briefed the paking and labeling of millets products and demonstrated multigrain atta and conduted post evaluation test. In velidictory programme Sri Arun Kumar, District Project Manager, DRDA, Nalgonda as Chief Guest emphasised on small scale units establishment and created awareness on various activities implemented for DRDA in Nalgonda District. Women participants (32 No.) from different Mandals of Nalgonda District and KVK Scientists were participated in the programme and trainees gave feedback and satisfied with the training programme.
