Training programme on Integrated crop management in Mango by KVK, Palem on 11-09-2020

Training programme on integrated crop management in Mango was organized at Chennapurao village Gram panchayat, Peddakottapally mandal, Nagarkurnool district, Telangana state on 11.09.2020 to the Mango growers by KVK. Palem, Nagarkurnool dist. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme coordinator, KVK, Palem explained marketing and export potential of Mango to get better price. Further, he added that Govt. initiated to establish food parks and value addition, location specific crop production regulation, one product one district and FPO for farmers welfare. Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS (Horticulture), KVK, Palem given training on Integrated crop management in Mango i.e. Selection of varieties, high density planting, pre bearing orchard management, training and pruning techniques, crop regulation, role of micro nutrients and growth harmones, flower and fruit drop control, INM and IPM package of practices, drip and fertigation management and post harvest management explained detail to the farmers. He emphasised on adopt high density planting, fertigation and export varieties will only doubles the mango growers income. Mr. M. Rajashekhar, SMS (Plant protection) explained about IPM and IDM practices in Mango to the farmers. Mr. B. Rajashekhar, SMS (Extn) given information on Marketing channels, Apps, e- NAAM and price update to the farmers. The training programme graced by Sri. N. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, village sarpanch and 25 Mango farmers had participated in this training programme.
