Training Programme on the Soil Health Importance on the Eve of Soil Health Card day at Adopted village Perkapelly of Saidapur Mandal on 19-02-2020 by Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar

The training programme was organised on 19.02.2020 at Gram Panchayat office of Perkapelly, adopted village of Agricultural Research Sation, Karimnagar on “Soil health importance and Demonstation of soil sampling. Dr.G.Usharani, Scientsit (Pl.Br) incharge for adopted village welcomed the dignitories on the dias and invited the farmers. Dr.G.Manjulatha, Principal Scientist(Agro) & Head, Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar presided over the meeting and addressed the gathering and briefed that the main aim of the meeting is to create awareness on soil health, and usage of fertilizers based on soil health and preparation of soil fertility maps for the village. The Scientist (Soil Science) from Regional Agricultural Research Station, Jagtial Dr.B.Raju imparted training on soil sample collections, precautions to be taken while collection, method and time of sampling and soil testing importance. A live demonstation of soil sample collection was carried out in the famers field and the general mistakes done by farmers were critically mentioned. Later, the DAATTC, Karimnagar Coordinator Dr.I.Arunasri, explained about the current prevalence of pest and deficency in paddy and its mangement. The Assistant Director of Agriculture, Huzurabad Sri Adi Reddy and Mandal Agricultural Officer, Saidapur Smt Vaidehi along with Bank Manager mentioned the use of Kisan Credit Cards for obtaining crop loans. The village Sarpanch Sri B.Komuraiah, Panchyat Secretary Sri Sampath, Market Committee Chairman Sri Praveen, AEO and around (50) farmers attended the meeting and shown keen intrest in soil sampling and testing of their soil fertility status. Finally the programme came to an end by formal vote of thanks by Dr.E.Rajanikath, Scientist(Agro) of Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar.
