Conducted a training programme on “Seed production technologies in field crops at farmers level” on 14.02.2025 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem

The programme was organized with an aim to make the farmers involve in seed production and make the seed available in large quantities at revenue village level. Meeting was started with Inaugural address by Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma Programme Coordinator of KVK about the essence of importance of seed production in various field crops. Dr. Prabhavathi, Sr. Scientist (Pl.Br), SRTC, R’Nagar explained about techniques in seed production practices to be followed in pulse crops. Dr. V. Swaranalatha, Sr. Scientist (Pl.Br), SRTC, explained about techniques in seed production practices to be followed in Maize, Dr. K. Sukumar, Sr. Scientist (Pl.Br), SRTC, explained general principles for good quality seed production in paddy. Dr. S. Naveen Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about crop diversification techniques. Later, Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao, SMS (Crop Production) explained about various production technologies of major crops in the district. Sri. B. Shiva, SMS (Hort) made aware about the PJTAU seed availability in different crops. In this programme a total 100 farmer and farmer women from six different mandals in the district participated and interacted with scientists.
