Training program on Entrepreneurship development skills in vermicomposting & Apiculture under ICAR SC-SP 2022-23 by Agricultural College, Warangal, on 17-02-2023

Agricultural College, Warangal organized one day training programme on “Entrepreneurship development skills in vermicomposting & Apiculture” under ICAR SC-SP 2022-23 on 17-02-2023. Training programme was started with the brief introduction and welcome address by Dr. S. Sowjanya, Assistant Professor (AECO). Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Warangal welcomed the guests and delivered his presidential remarks on the training programme and advised farmers to utilize the opportunity to learn about vermi composting and try to establish enterprises to serve the fellow farmers. Sri K. Damodar Reddy, Assistant Director of Agriculture emphasized the importance of soil health & role of organic waste materials to improve soil health and he urged the farmers to utilize this programme in efficient manner. Dr.A.Venkat Reddy, Convenor gave lecture on entrepreneur skills in vermicomposting and uses of vermicompost. Dr. Ch. Anusha, Asst. Professor (ENTO) explained about preparation of vermiwash, its uses and entrepreneurial skills in Apiculture. Smt. K. Manasa, Asst. Professor (AMBE) emphasized on value addition to vermicompost and its uses. After the series of lectures, the participants were visited to vermicompost and Apiculture units. At the end, an interaction and feed-back session was conducted for clarification of their queries and distributed 10 kgs of vermicompost to each of them. Later G. Swathi, Assistant Professor (AEXT) proposed formal vote of thanks. In this programme around 40 members were participated from various places.
