A training programme on drying of vegetables using solar dryer was organized at College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur, Nizamabad District on 30th November, 2021. Fourteen farmers from the Hegdoli village, Kotagiri mandal, Nizamabad District attended the programme. The purpose of the training programme was briefed by Dr. J. Sai Prasad and Mrs. Prashanthi Meda, Village adoption programme in-charges followed by Dr. T. Rohit, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Food Process Technology, explained about benefits of solar drying and demonstrated the procedure for drying of tomatoes and carrots using solar drier to the participants. Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, interacted with the farmers and urged the participants to utilize the services of college whenever required. Dr. G. Rajender, Dr. J. Sai Prasad, Mrs. Prashanthi Meda, Dr. T. Rohit, and Dr. Samreen along with 18 farmers participated in the programme and the programme was concluded with distribution of turmeric powder samples to the participants.
