Training cum Awareness programme on Yasangi crops under Tribal Sub Plan, 2021-22” by KVK, Malyal on 25-10-2021
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Training cum Awareness programme on Yasangi crops at Rythu Vedika, Kothaguda of Mahabubabad district on 25-10-2021 to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub Plan Project, 2021-22. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) & Co-PI of the project briefed about the objectives of this training programme. Sri B. Kranthi Kumar, SMS (Crop Production) gave powerpoint presentation on “suitable crops to be grown during Yasangi season in place of Paddy”. As per request of the farmers, he explained about sunflower production technology, in detail, as most of them wanted to take up sunflower crop. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal reiterated the necessity of growing alternate crops to paddy in Yasangi. Also answered the queries raised by the farmers in the standing crops as well as in Yasangi crops to be grown.Sri Ch. Raju, AEO, Sri Yeshwanth, AEO, Smt. Bhavani, AEO and 60 no.of farmers from 3 TSP villages (Polaram, Bothavanigudem and Mokalapalli of Kothaguda Mandal) participated in the programme.
