Skill Training Programme on “Tailoring & Embroidery” under TSP, 2022-23 by KVK, Malyal on 13-02-2023

KVK, Malyal organized 3 days Skill Training Programme on “Tailoring & Embroidery” from 13th to 15th February, 2023 at Rythuvedika, Gudur under Tribal Sub Plan, 2022-23. The training started with inaugural session on 13-02-2023 and Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Hort.) & Co-PI of TSP explained about the objectives of this project and suggested to take up self employment in agriculture and allied sectors. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, emphasized on self employment of women for economic empowerment. Smt. G. Vinoda, VAS Tailoring and Matching Centre, Gudur, acted as resource person for the training. She has taken theory and practical sessions on blouse stitching, dress stitching, frocks for kids, basic tips in embroiding and maggam work design. In the valedictory session, Sri B. Chatru Naik, DAO, Mahabubabad participated as Chief Guest and addressed the gathering. Sri D. Bansilal, Senior Branch Manager, UBI, Gudur, participated in the programme and explained about schemes, mudra loans, financial support available at banks for the development of women entrepreneurship. Later, 'participation certificates' were distributed to the trainees. Sri A. Rakesh, MAO, Gudur, Sri R. Ravinder, APM, Gudur, Smt K. Alekhya, AEO, Bhupathipet, Smt G. Bharathi, VOA, Gudur and 30 no. of ST women from 4 TSP adopted villages (Chakru Thanda, Ootla of Gudur Mandal & Eshwaragudem, Doravarivempalli of Kothaguda Mandal) attended the training.
