Tribal Farmer Awareness-Method demonstration on Installation of Solar Light Pheromone traps in spine gourd at Sarvaram village on 21-09-2020 by KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem

KVK Bhdradrikothagudem conducted training programme on Spine gourd cultivation under pandal system and conducted method demonstration on Installation of fruit fly traps in spinegourd crop for the tribal farmer at the fields of Sarvaram village, Sujathanagar mandal on 21.09.2020. Dr. G. Veeranna, programme coordinator and Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) has demonstrated the installation of solar light pheromone traps, Yellow and Blue sticky pheromone traps and also explained about the use of poison bait against fruit fly (mix 500 gm jaggery, 20 ml malathion and keeping in plastic containers (100ml/container) @ 5 nos/Acre for monitoring and 20/acre for mass killing of fruit fly in spine gourd crop. A total of 10 farmers participated in the demonstration.
