Two days Training programme on Natural farming from 28.12.2023 to 29.12.2023: Natural Farming can be defined as “chemical- free farming and livestock based”. It can help agroecology and regenerative agriculture that lend support to soil rejuvenation. It can help improve yield, can increase farmer income, minimize cost of production, ensure better health, help in employment generation, eliminate the application of chemical inputs, environment conservation and reduce water consumption. It is based on the principles of biodiversity, soil regeneration and water conservation. In view of the benefits of natural farming to soil and human health, KVK, Wyra has organized two days training programme on Natural farming to farmers on 28.12.2023 and 29.12.2023. The meeting was attended by Dr. A. Sailaja, Programme Coordinator, Scientists of KVK, Wyra Dr. Jessie Suneetha, W, Dr. K. Ravi Kumar and Mrs. PSM Phanisri along with Mr. A. Satayanarayana Reddy, Progressive farmer and Dr. P. Reddypriya from Agricultural College, Aswaraopet on 28.12.2023 as well as Dr. M. Ram Prasad from Agricultural College, Aswaraopet and Mr. Bala Prakash, AO, STL, Khammam on 29.12.2023. The need for natural farming and sustainable agricultural practice that relied on natural inputs and processes to improve soil health, crop yields and farmer livelihoods was discussed at length.
