Shri. Manoj Ahuja, Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India has visited the professor jayashankar telangana state agricultural university here on Saturday evening. M. Raghunandanrao, incharge Vice Chancellor, PJTSAU & Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Government of Telangana has accompanied the visit of Shri. Manoj Ahuja, and Dr. sudheerkumar, registrar PJTSAU and Dr R jagadeeshwar, Director of Research has welcomed the Secretary at the Maize Research Farm in the ARI Campus in Rajendranagar. Sri. Manoj Ahuja, has examined the Drone application in crop protection management in maize crop as well its application in other crops too. He also observed the field demonstration Drone Spraying on maize crop, he also interacted with the scientists and enquired about effectiveness & various issues related to the drone for various applications. Later, Manoj Ahuja, had visited the AgriHub innovation center and had interaction with Agri startup companies representatives. He appreciated the efforts of PJTSAU for adopting the emerging technologies in agricultural operations. And also appreciated the 10th class student A. Sreeja, who has developed the ecofriendly bio-degradable plant pots made with groundnut shells. Ms. sreeja, presented a plant to the union agricultural secretary Manoj ahuja. while speaking at the occasion he said that, it is the need of the hour to encourage the agri startups & innovations in agricultural sector in the country, he stated that, he has been enriched with this visit and interaction with the startups companies representatives.former vc praveenrao and university officers were present in the meeting.
