A method demonstration on use of Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB) was organized by Agricultural Research Station, Tornala in collaboration with Department of Agriculture, Siddipet duly involving farmers on 01-07-2022 in adopted village of ARS, Tornala, Ibrahimpur, Narayanraopet mandal, Siddipet district. Dr. S. Sridevi, Principal Scientist and Head, ARS, Tornala addressed the gathering on the importance of Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria and methods application through method demonstration. She explained to the farmers how to read and interpret the soil test values as mentioned in soil health cards. Dr. N. Sainath, Scientist (SSAC), ARS, Tornala briefly discussed about soil fertility status of Ibrahimpur village and explained nutrient management for healthy soils. Mr. K. Shivaprasad, DAO, Siddipet district gave a brief note on agronomic management for crops, importance of crop rotation and crop diversification, importance of biofertilizers. Mr. V. Prakash, Narayanraopet mandal AO explained about ill effects of crop residue burning and suggested for insitu incorporation of crop residues to avoid air pollution and enrich soil fertility Mr. T. Nagarjuna, AEO discussed about success story of Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria and biofertilizer usages in agriculture. At the end of programme, Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB) was distributed to the farmers in whose field high phosphorus content was noticed as per the soil health cards issued by ARS, Tornala. The programme was attended by Mr. Kameshawara Raju, GCot, Hyderabad along with Sri Devayya, Sarpanch, Sri K. Nagesh Reddy, RSS President and also 95 farmers.
