Valedictory Function of NSS Special Camp of Agricultural College, Jagtial on 21-10-2019

Agricultural College, Polasa, Jagtial has conducted the valedictory function of NSS Special Camp at Gullapet village, Jagtial mandal on 21.10.2019. Smt. Meenakshi Garu, In-charge, Niveditha Avasam, Jagtial was the chief guest for the programme. In her address said that the agricultural students are doing a great job by providing their services at the village level. The same spirit should be continued throughout their life time in spreading the humanity and reaching the poorest of poor. Dr. K. B. Suneetha Devi, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Jagtial congratulated the students for successfully completing their seven days of the special camp. Further she said that what are all the things that have been learnt in the camp has to be carried over with a spirit to develop the surrounding villages. She also congratulated all the staff, farmers and other members who directly or indirectly involved in making the programe successful. Sri. Narsingha Rao, Retired Agricultural Officer in his address said the agricultural students should take the lead in motivating the farmers towards cultivation based on organic farming. They should try their best in reducing the use of inorganic fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides. He also mentioned that the present youth should love their mother land and contribute something for the poor. Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Mr. A. Umarajasekhar and Dr. T. Srikanth, NSS officers had detailed about the activities that have been done in the special camp. Further they said that all the students should engage themselves towards these activities and should motivate few more people in taking up these activities. Further they have thanked all the Gram Sarpanches, AELP Directors and RAWEP Coordinators for being with them and making the programme successful. The displayed various technologies, models in the exhibition and the students form Mandal Parishad School; Gullapet had visited the exhibition stalls. Also UPL Pvt. Limited have exhibited a stall and the farmers were distributed with insecticides. Later the students shared their experiences with the dignitaries and farmers followed by distribution of ‘Certificates’.
