Vanamahotsavam celebrations held at Agricultural Polytechnic Sangupet-Jogipet on 23.07.2024

This report provides an overview of the Vanamahotsavam celebrations held at Agricultural Polytechnic Sangupet-Jogipet on 23.07.2024, highlighting the events, activities, and overall ambience of the event. The Vanamahotsavam celebrations commenced with great enthusiasm on arrival of the Chief Guest Honorable District Collector Sangareddy Smt.Valluri Kranthi and Additional Collector Badugu Chandrasekhar, invited the guests with bouquet, followed by introduction of Staff and Students, Vanamahotsam event inaugurated by Chief Guest Honourable District Collector Sangareddy with planting the sapling (Jamun) at Hostel premises followed by Additional Collector planted the sapling, including Vice-Principal & Students APT Sangupet-Jogipet and other department officials initiating the 1000 saplings plantation drive at or Polytechnic premises, planted saplings includes, Millengtonia(11), Tabebuia(11), Jamun(27), Mango(8), Royal palm(100)along the length of the CC Road pathway and Ashoka(120) Casuarina(50), Kadamba(50), Tabubuia(80) Millingtonia(85) Alternenthra(50), Acalypha(50), Temple tree(20 red and white) Citronella(20), Jamun(100), lemon grass(02) etc., are yet to be planted with the support of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and District Forest Departments. Followed by tour of the Hostel and Polytechnic building premises by the guests interacting with the students, Honorable District Collector advised the students to mould themselves into the greatest asset to the farming community and appreciated the alumni of our Polytechnic with momentos, and also visited the cultivation plots of our Students under the PAMP Activity. Honourable District Collector were keen upon the scope of Diploma in Agriculture, and also assured regarding the Auxiliary nurse and midwife(ANM) Service for the Students and Play ground infrastructure development to foster the physical fitness of the students on our request note. Concluded the event by presenting the token of gratitude to the Honorable District Collector.
