Dr. V. Praveen Rao, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University (PJTSAU) launched a done that is developed by Senseacre Labs with a ten-band multispectral sensor that enables deep vision and close sensing at AgHub, PJTSAU. The technology used in these drones involves high resolution image processing with high performance computing using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms for detection and annotation.vSpeaking at the event, Dr. V. Praveen Rao addressed the current gaps and challenges in the agriculture ecosystem and pointed out at the opportunities for tech-based ventures. He also pointed on the use of data-driven technology and emphasized that data is the real fuel in the time ahead. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor stressed on the fact that technologies which bring more value proposition to the farmers should be supported and encouraged. Mr. Vinod Kumar, Founder and CEO, Senseacre Labs LLP said “Any saving to farmer in reducing input costs, better water management, better yield and healthy crop is a positive outcome. These technologies are evolving and new to Indian market. Also, with Climate Change Resilience these technologies which can provide evidence for care and cure with metrics will have greater adoption as we progress.
