Visit of Director of Research, PJTSAU and University Head (Soil Science) to ARS, Tornala on 28-08-2024

Dr. P. Raghu Rami Reddy, Director of Research cum Registrar, PJTSAU and Dr. G. Jayasree, Dean of Agriculture cum University Head (Soil Science) visited ARS, Tornala on 28-08-2024 for review of the technical programme. During the visit, Dr. P. Raghurami Reddy, Director of Research cum Registrar, PJTSAU and Dr. G Jayasree, Dean of Agriculture cum University Head (Soil Science) interacted with all scientific staff of ARS, Tornala regarding experiments and visited the farm implement shed, seed godowns, experimental plots at different blocks (A, C, E and F) of ARS, Tornala. He emphasised the importance of land configurations systems mainly ridge and furrow, FYM application and growing green manure crops for improving the soil of ARS, Tornala. Later they visited the seed production plots of Paddy (JGL-24423 and WGL-915), Redgram (WRGE-93), Greengram (WGG-42 and MGG-385). Dr G. Jayasree, University Head (Soil Science) verified about the progress of work carried out by the research scientists and Ph D scholars of soil science working at ARS, Tornala.
