Visit of Director of Research & Registrar, PJTSAU to RARS Warangal & Siddapur farm on 18-07-2024 for inauguration of “Office cum Instrumentation Tools Building

Dr. P. Raghu Rami Reddy, Director of Research & Registrar, PJTSAU visited RARS, Warangal & Siddapur farm on 18-07-2024 for review of the technical programme. The visit began with inauguration of the new “Office cum Instrumentation Tools Building” at Siddapur farm. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal and all the teaching & non teaching staff of RARS Warangal participated in the inaugural session. During inauguration, Director of Research & Registrar, PJTSAU apprised the staff regarding the efforts made towards acquisition of farm land, allocation of funds and developmental activities to bring into cultivation. Further, instructed to utilize the entire farm land effectively. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal expressed sincere thanks to teaching staff headed by Dr. U. Nagabhushnam, Principal Scientist (Agro.) and Dr. N. Sandhya Kishore, Scientist (Pl. Breeding) who acted as a conveners for Siddapur farm development and also B. Swamy, AO and B. Bikshapathi, AEO for their efforts towards farm development. ADR further elucidated about the efforts towards land acquisition, development activities made during last 5 years and the present status of farm activities. He requested University regarding infrastructure and fund allocation for the development of farm and also to convert it into a model research farm. The inaugural meeting was followed by plantation of samplings at office building premises and field visit of Siddapur farm, where in field experiments were monitored by Director of Research Sir. After Siddapur farm visit, proceeded to RARS, Warangal where Director of Research & Registrar, PJTSAU interacted with all the teaching and non teaching staff of RARS Warangal. During which official problems of non teaching staff and pending issues were discussed. In the afternoon, visited experimental fields at RARS, Warangal and suggested necessary improvements. After that, technical review of teaching staff was conducted, where Director of Research emphasized that, our research should meet the challenges of the major crops grown in the zone. Later Director of Research & Registrar, PJTSAU visited Common Incubation Centre-chilli & turmenic processing unit, Millet & Dal mill unit and Agri hub unit within the RARS, premises.
