Scientists of KVK, Kampasagar was conducted field visit to Sorghum Minikits Culture PSV-512 Vs CSV-31 at Kapuvarigudem (V), Tripuraram (M) and Nalgonda (Dist) on 29.10.2020. Dr.M.A.Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator and S.Pallavi, SMS (Extension) cum Minikits incharge monitored and observed growth performance and other parameters of the Minikits and briefed about the management of pests and diseases and also birds which causing major damage to the millet crop. Later, S.Pallavi SMS (Extension) explained the farmers about the characteristics features of the Minikit and recorded the biometrical observations. The crop at grain hardening stage and observed slight incidence of leaf blight and overall the growth performance was better with good ear head length, free from major pests and diseases compared to check. Farmer expressed that the Minikit is performing well at local field conditions and expecting good yields than check by observing the crop performance. Later, visited Medium Slender rice Minikit culture JGL-28545 Vs BPT-5204. Crop at flowering stage and observed slight incidence of leaf folder, False Smut and Bacterial leaf Blight and suggested recommendations.
