Visit of Sri Tummala Nageswara Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Marketing, Cooperation, and Handlooms & Textiles to CII Agri-Tech South 2024 on February 16, 2024

Sri Tummala Nageswara Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Marketing, Cooperation, and Handlooms & Textiles, Government of Telangana has attended the inaugural session of the CII Agri-Tech South 2024 - Agri-Tech Vision and Conference held from 16-18 February 2024 at the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University Auditorium. Sri M. Raghunandan Rao, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of PJTSAU has welcomed the Hon’ble Minister in to the University exhibition stall arranged on this occasion. Hon’ble Minister has enquired about the fine grain rice varieties developed by the university and their availability as the state government is planning to distribute the fine grain rice through Public Distribution System. University scientists have informed that there is good number of fine grain rice varieties available like RNR 15048, KNM 16038, JGL 27356, etc. Later, he visited the exhibition stall where Drones were displayed and enquired about their availability and usage in agriculture. University scientists have informed about their availability in different sizes, usage for application of various inputs like seed, fertilizers, pesticides, etc. and also as a pest and disease diagnostic tool in agriculture.
