Webinar on Cotton Better Management Practices and Significance of Foliar Nutrients

A webinar on “Cotton better management practices and Significance of foliar nutrients” was organized by Coromandel International Limited in coordination with Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal on 04-09-2020 at RARS, Warangal at 5.00 P.M. The webinar was chaired by Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research. Dr. B. Ram Prasad, Senior Scientist (Entomology), officials from Coromandel International Limited company and farmers of Telangana state participated in the meeting. The Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal emphasized the importance of foliar nutrients on cotton in the present situation of continuous heavy rains where the cotton crop was badly affected with continuous water logged conditions particularly in black soil situation. Later, Senior Agronomist of Coromandel fertilizers gave information on recently released products in the market. Later, Senior Scientist (Entomology), RARS, Warangal gave a power point presentation on present pest and disease scenario in cotton and suggested suitable control measures to the farming community. After the session farmers queries on remedial measures for the field problems under current situation were answered.
