Webinar on Measures to be Taken by Farmers in Current Weather Conditions on 28-08-2020 by RARS, Polasa, Jagtial

Regional Agricultural Research station, Polasa, Jagtial organized Webinar on “ Measures to be taken by farmers in current weather conditions” for the farmers of Jagtial district on 28.08.2020. In view of COVID pandemic situation to resolve the queries faced by the farmers the webinar was organized. The Webinar was organized by Smt.P. Sadvi, Scientist (Extension). In this programme Associate Director of Research, RARS, Polasa, Dr.R. Uma Reddy suggested the farmers about the management practices to be followed to protect the crop in current weather conditions and answered the farmers queries. Sri.P. Madhukar Rao, Scientist (Agronomy) suggested the weed control measures , Sri. S. Omprakash, Scientist (Entomology) suggested the pest control measures and Sri.N. Balram, Scientist (Pl. Pathology) suggested the Disease control measures. Scientists suggested about the control measures for the management of rice stem borer, leaf folder in Paddy, wilt in Cotton, Rhizome rot in Turmeric which were asked by the farmers. In this programme young farmers and public representatives from various villages of Jagtial district have been participated and interacted with the scientists of research station.
