Webinar on Preparation of Farmers for Vanakalam - 2021 by RARS, Polasa, Jagtial on 07-06-2021

Regional Agricultural Research Station, Polasa, Jagtial conducted a Webinar on “Preparation of farmers for vanakalam -2021” on 07.06.2021 through Zoom platform. The objective of the webinar was aimed to develop the overall understanding of the topics i.e. dry direct seeding method of cultivation in Paddy , selection of crop varieties and cut-off dates of sowing , advantages of green manures , importance of soil testing and crop residue management and awareness on various agriculture information sources and agriculture mobile apps. A multidisciplinary team of scientists of RARS, Dr.P. Revathi, Dr. B. Srinivas, Dr.P. Madukar Rao, Dr.A. Krishna Chaithanya and P. Sadvi were participated and addressed the topics relevant to farmers for preparation to vanakalam season and also interacted with the farmers and answered the queries. In this webinar farmers (40 Nos.) from RARS adopted village Veldhurthy and adjacent villages were participated.
