Women protection cell activity on Personal Hygiene conducted by College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 21-05-2022

College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur conducted an awareness programme to the farm women of Rudrur regarding “Personal Hygiene” on 21-05-2022. Mrs. M. Prashanthi and Dr. Samreen, Assistant professors were involved in conducting the programme to rural women. Discussion was made on the aspects of necessity of maintenance of personal hygiene, and its basic requirements. The women were made acquainted with products of personal hygiene that are used on daily basis. They were also made aware of the sources to buy products. Also, the connecting aspect to personal hygiene is good nutrition. Hence, nutritional requirements for women of all age groups was also discussed. They were made aware of balanced diet which could build immunity among the women. There was good interaction with all the women and the queries were answered by the faculty. Many questions were asked by participants regarding food requirements to prevent harmful diseases in women and also to build immunity.
