Agricultural College, Warangal, Women Protection Cell organized International Women’s day on 7-3-2024. Smt Sikta Patnaik, District Collector & Magistrate, Hanamkonda has attended as Chief Guest to this programme. She expressed her happiness by looking 70% girls students presence in the programme. She also said to encourage girls students for higher education. Besides studies, students should select good path way for their betterment in life. Unemployed women can be encouraged to start any enterprise for their self employment. Dr M. Balram, Associate Dean, said Agricultural college highlighted students achievements and also he said that girls students got gold medals in kick boxing at National Level Competitions. Dr.V. Sujana Priya, Consultant, Radiation Oncologist has also attended the programme as Honorary Guest. She has delivered lecture on social and health problems being faced by women. Dr S. Jyothi, Principal, University Arts & Science college also graced this occasion as Honorary Guest and she said that students have to lead their life with self confidence. She also quoted that strong body will have strong brain to achieve their goals. On the occasion of International women’s day, essay writing, elocution and poster making competitions were conducted to girls students and prizes were distributed to the winners by guests of honour. Students have performed skits and dance and sang songs during programme. Men staff of Agricultural college, Warangal has presented a token of gift to women staff. Teaching and non teaching staff, teaching associates, lab assistants and students were participated in this programme.
