“World Food Day” was celebrated at College of Agricultural Engieering-Kandi, Sangareddy on 16.10.2023. World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year worldwide commemorate the date of the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945. The program was organized by the Talk club of the college. Dr. M. Padam, Assistant Professor & HoD, Dept of PRFE has presided over the event. The programme was initialized with the university Song. A Guest lecture was delivered by Dr. P. Kiran, Ph.D- IIT Kharagpur, Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology, GITAM University, Hyderabad. The topic of the lecture was “Applications of Chromatography in Food Characterization”. Teaching, non-teaching staff & students of PG, UG and Diploma in agricultural engineering have attended the programme. The program served as a significant platform for raising awareness about the critical issues surrounding food security and sustainability.
