Celebration of World Pulses Day and Field Day in Bengalgram NBeG-3 on 10-02-2022

KVK Nizamabad has organized the Celebrations of “World Pulses day 2022” & Field day in Bengalgram NBeG-3 on 10.02.2022 at Rampur village, Bodhan Mandal of Nizamabad district to raise awareness about the importance of pulses. Dr. S. Naveen Kumar , Programme Coordinator, KVK Nizamabad addressed about the significance of pulses in the present need for Crop diversification scenario and stated that Farmers can cultivate pulses for both personal consumption and sale, which can help them maintain economic stability and food security.Dr. B. Balaji Naik , Principal Scientist & Head, RS&RRS Rudrur explained about the ongoing research activities in the University on pulses and assured that the varieties will generate good profits and help the farmers to develop their economic situation. Later on, Field day was conducted under CFLD 2021-22 in Bengal gram field of farmers cultivating NBeG3 variety & Dr. M. Suresh, SMS (Crop Production), KVK Nizamabad discussed about the necessary management practices to be followed in Rabi pulse crop production. The farmers cultivating NBeG3 variety expressed their satisfaction on the variety as it is of bold seeded, high yielding and of wilt resistant to a smaller extent.A total of 78 number of farmers including department of agriculture officials were Participated. Santosh, ADA, Bodhan, AEOs Sri. Sailu, Sai Charan ,Uma, Muzammil, Shyamala, Yogesh, Apoorva and farmers of Rampur village, Bodhan Mandal of Nizamabad district.
