Organised CFLD-Blackgram Field Day cum World Pulses Day on 10-02-2022 at Khapaur Villagae, Nagarkunrool dist

KVK, Palem organized CFLD-Blackgram Field Day cum World Pulses Day on the occasion of world pulses day on 10.02.2022 at Khapaur Villagae, Nagarkunrool dist. as part of conducting Cluster Front Line Demonstrations (CFLDs) on Pulses by KVK, Palem, Nagarkurnool dist during Rabi, 2021-22. CFLD on Blackgram has been taken up in 2 clusters namely Manthati, (13 no) and Khanapur (12 no.). Dr.T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem, Dr.V. Divya Rani, Scientist, (Plant Pathology), Dr, Sadaiah, Scientist (Breeder) RARS, Palem, Dr.B.Rajashekar (Extension), Dr. Afifa Jaha, SMS(Home Science) and Mr. K. Ramakrishna, SMS(CP), KVK, Palem were participated. Dr.T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem has explained the importance of pulses and have highly nutritious properties and are a very important part of a healthy diet for humans as well as CFLD Pulses importance and critical input’s role in enhancing the yield levels in Blackgram crop. CFLD i/c Dr.B.Rajashekar SMS (Extension), given brief information on the critical inputs provided under CFLD-Blackgram to the farmers per acre are- Seed of Blackgram (GBG-1) 6 Kg, Pendimithalin 1 lt.,Imazythapyr 250ml, Neem Oil 1 lt, 19.19.19 1 Kg and Emmamectin benzoate 100grams. Dr, Sadaiah, Scientist (Breeder) briefed about new varieties of pulses for higher production. Dr.V. Divya Rani, Scientist, (Plant Pathology) explained about benefits of timely practicing of plant protection practices entire crop period with IPM and IDM mode. Mr. K. Ramakrishna, SMS(CP) addressed about ICM technologies in pulses production and timely operations in field level. Dr. Afifa Jahan, SMS (Home Science) explained about drudgery reduction technologies. Crop cutting experiment was taken up to assess the yield level as well as the biometric observations recorded are- Crop height-60cm, no. of branches per plant are-9, no. of pods per branchare-6 and no. of seeds per pod are-4. Field day was conducted in one of the CFLD farmers field of Sri.Shiva Raj, Khanapur Village, Bijinepally mandal of Nagarkurnool dist. A total of 46 farmers were participated in the event.
