World Pulses Day at Agricultural College, Polasa, Jagtial on 10-02-2022

NSS Unit of Agricultural College, Jagtial has organized World Pulses Day on 10-02-2022 in the College. As part of world pulses day online lectures were delivered by Dr. CV. Sameer Kumar, Senior Professor & Head, Dept of GPBR, College of Agriculture, R’nagar on Role of Pulses in Sustainable Intensification of Agri. Food Systems Opportunities and Challenges & Dr. Samineni Srininvasan, Chickpea breeder, ICRISAT, Patancheru on Recent advances in chickpea breeding. Associate Dean of the College Dr. S. Narender Reddy addressed about the significance of Pulses in human diet and to include pulses in crop diversification, which will help the farmers to maintain economic stability and food security. Dr.K.Jhansi Rani, Professor & Head, Dr.T.Srikanth, Dr.K.Chandrashaker, Mr. A. Umarajashekhar, NSS officer, Dr.T.Sravan Kumar and students were attended.
