World Soil Day Celebration on 04-12-2021 at Adopted Village of RARS, Warangal

On 04-12-2021 organised world soil day at adopted village meedikonda station ghanpur mandal in jangaon district wherein participated 100 farmers and discussed various issues pertaining to improvement of soil health. In this event farmers prayered for adoption of incorporation of crop residues within the soil, regular sowing of green manure crops preceeding to main crop, regular adoption of soil test based fertilizer application to different crops, not to apply the complex fertilizers as top dressing, and keep the efforts to enhance the microbial population in soil decompose the crop residues properly. In this connection Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal advise the farmers to keep soil healthy for healthy human beings for next generation for which the farmers invaraiably apply the organic matter to soil, adopt optimum tillage of soil and judicious use of fertilizers. Dr. Ch.Ramulu scientist soil science explained about indicators of soil health (Physical, chemical and biological properties), measures to be taken to keep the properties of soil optimum in support of crop production.
