ARS, Adilabad - World Water Day

World Water Day was organized in Adopted village, Seetagondi (Village), Gudihatnoor (Mandal), Adilabad district on 22nd March, 2021 and conducted awareness programme to the farmers on importance of water conservation and various methods of soil & water conservation for the existing farming situations. Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan, Principal Scientist (Agro.) & Head, ARS, Adilabad emphasized the importance of water saving methods in Agriculture and various measures/practices like cultivating millets, excavation of farm ponds, watershed activities like construction of check dams & nail holes etc.; use of drip & sprinkler irrigation methods. Similarly, Sri K. Rajashekar, Scientist (Ento.), ARS, Adilabad; Sri Malku, Village Upa Sarpanch; Miss. Sri Vidya, Panchayat Secretary; Sri Sreedhar, AEO; M. Swapnial, Young Professional; nearly 25 progressive farmers were participated in this event. ‘Jala Pritagna’ has been observed at the end of meeting.
