Celebrated World Water Day at KVK, Bellampalli (Mancherial) on 22-03-2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial has conducted the program ‘WORLD WATER DAY’ to educate and create awareness among the farmer's community on the importance of sustainable utilization of water resources and the value of water in the present scenario, at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli with the farmers of districts Kumrumbheem Asifabad and Mancherial on 22 March, 2021. Dr. Rajeshwar Naik, Programme Coordinator, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, addressed the gathering and advised the farmers to focus on the judiciary and effective utilization of the water resources. He explained about different effective irrigation and water-saving technologies available in agriculture and the basic information about the quality of irrigation water. He expressed the views on different high water consumption crops and management practices in crop cultivation and provided knowledge about feasible strategies to overcome the problems of high water consumption. He further discussed about the theme of world water day-2021 ‘Valuing Water‘ and requisted the farmers to know the value of water than at which price it is available in nature. Scientists at the event included Dr. Shivakrishna Kota, Shri. Nagaraju, Dr. Tirupati, Dr. Sathish and 40 farmers participated.
