World Water Day Celebrated at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem on 22-03-2021

KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem has celebrated World Water Day on 22.03.2021 at the Sujathanagar, Bhadradri Kothagudem District in coordination with DHAN foundation. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma, Programme coordinator has inaugurated the programme along with Sri M. Veeranna, (Project Officer, DWAMA), Sri Md. Ali (Manager, DHAN foundation) Sri G. Laxmaiah (DHAN foundation), and Sri K. Srinivasulu (Manager, APGVB). Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma has addressed the farmers and explained the importance of Water for the life on the planet and also in food production for human beings and aslos the water conservation through farm ponds, Check dams, and afforestation Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao (SMS, Crop Production) has explained about efficient utilization of water resources in agriculture by cultivating water efficient crops like millets, short duration crops, terrace farming and intercrops. A total of 120 women farmers and offficers have participated in the programme.
