KVK, Malyal organized Awareness Programme on “World Water Day"

KVK, Malyal organized World Water Day 2021 on 22-03-2021 at Rythu Vedika, Gudur, Mahabubabad district. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal addressed the gathering and explained about the importance of water saving. She pointed out that we should judiciously use water resources so as to conserve for future generations duly emphasizing the theme of the day “Valuing Water”. She emphasized the water conservation technologies in the Agriculture. Smt. A. Sarala Kumari, Associate Professor (Foods & Nutrition) (Rtd) participated in the programme as Guest and spoke about importance of water saving for the future generations, explained about recharge pits, farm ponds and percolation tanks for water harvesting. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) and Smt. A. Ramulamma, SMS (Plant Protection) suggested dealt on water saving technologies in different horticultural and agricultural crops, respectively. About 46 farmers and farm women attended the programme.
