KVK, Palem celebrated World Water Day in collaboration with RARS, Palem on 22nd March, 2021 at RARS, Auditorium. The day was celebrated under the guidance of Dr. Ch. Damodar Raju, ADR, RARS, Palem along with the KVK scientists. He stressed about importance of water saving and technique of water storage for improving water use efficiency. Dr. Srinivas, AD, Agriculture Engineering College, Sangaraeddy informed that the theme of World Water Day 2021 is "Valuing Water". This is 28th in World Water Day as it was initiated in year 1993. Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi, AD, Agriculture College, Palem emphasized on different water conservation techniques at household level and stressed about role of woman in water conservation. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem discussed regarding water conservation techniques to be adopted in agriculture. Teachers, students and 82 farmers participated in this programme.
