Distribution of Yasangi Sorghum under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) 2020-21 and Training Programme on “Functional modalities and management of Innovative farmers networking” on 05.10.2020 at Narsapur village of Tandur mandal of Mancherial district

KVK Bellampalli Mancherial organized the training programme on “Functional modalities and management of Innovative farmers networking and modus operandi of FPOs” on 05.10.2020 at Narsapur village of Tandur mandal of Mancherial district. In this programme, Yasangi Sorghum was distributed to Tribal farmers under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) 2020-21. Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Programme Coordinator, KVK Mancherial addressed the men and women farmers about the importance and benefits in the formation of farmers producer organization. And financial Assistance by the NABARD. Further, added on the importance of sorghum in relation to human health in terms of nutrition value to maintain balanced diet. Further added in detail about the package of practices and yield differences of improved variety supplied under TSP 2020-21 when compared to local variety. Dr. Shivakrishna Kota SMS (Extension) interacted with the farmers about the role of KVKs in the formation of Farmers Producer Organizations with minimum of 300 numbers of farmers. Farmers networking by registration in the AKPS and gathered information on the Agri Infrastructure established in the village. Individual farmer wise detail data was collected and explained the benefits of the AKPS. This programme was attended by Smt. Kiranmayi, MAO, Tandur Mandal, Smt. Jangu Bhai,Sarpanch, Miss. Pushpalatha AEO and 50 No. of farmers were participated.
