KVK, Malyal Scientists conducted Field Visit of OFTs and FLDs in Paddy, Turmeric and Chilli at Gouraram village of Bayyaram Mandal and Tallapusapalli village of Kesamudram Mandal on 5th October 2020

KVK, Malyal Scientists Visited Rice, Turmeric and Chilli OFT and FLD fields in Gouraram village of Bayyaram Mandal and Tallapusapalli village of Kesamudram Mandal. The team of Scientists Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, Programme Coordinator i/c, Smt. A. Ramulamma, SMS (Plant Protection) and Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) noted observations and GPS locations for digital recording of data. Farmers are reported the leaf folder, BPH and sheet blight in Rice. Leaf spot, leaf curl, spodoptera and twig blight in Chilli. Leaf spot and rhizome rot in Turmeric. 8 No.of farmers participated in the programme.

Suggestions:

Paddy: Suggested to spray of Flubendimide 0.2 g/l or Chlorantaniliprole 0.3 ml/l + Propiconazole @ 1ml/l for stem borer and panicle mite. Spray of Dinotefuron 0.4 g/l ro Pymetrizine 0.6 g/l for BPH in Rice.

Chilli: Suggested Cabriotap 3 g/l or Thiofenac methyl 1.5 ml/l for twig blight and leaf spot and Chlorphenaphyire @ 1.5 ml/l or Spynosad @ 0.3 ml/l for leaf curl and spodoptera.

Turmeric: Suggested Neem cake 100 Kg/acre and drenching with redomil 2ml/l for rhizome rot and Azoxystrobin @ 1ml/l or Propiconazole 1ml/l for leaf spot.
