The college of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy has celebrated Agricultural Education day-2023 on 06th December, 2023, 120 students from 8th, 9th and 10th standards of Z.P.H School Kandi and Mamidipally had visited the College. An essay writing competition was conducted for the school students on the topic “Importance of Agricultural Education in India”. Dr. S. A Hussain, Sr. Professor (Agronomy) made aware of the ICAR-Education system and a way forward in selecting the Agricultural courses for the better future of the youngsters. Dr. G. Manoj Kumar, Associate Dean, addressed the students and explained about origin of Agricultural Education Day and importance of the agriculture and agricultural education in creating a huge impact on next coming generations and current agricultural scenario, role of youth and job opportunities in agriculture sectors. Head masters from Z.P.H School, Sri. Krishna have expressed their thanks for motivating, guiding and providing an opportunity to get exposed to the agricultural education system and University technologies which may create an impact on mindset of their students. The programme was concluded by giving prizes (1st &2nd) to the winners of the essay writing competition and Vote of thanks. Further the school students were explained about different equipment’s, models and cut model available in the laboratories, various technologies displayed in the laboratory and also got exposed to Knowledge Management Center, Digital Library, College farm, AELP Units. The students were given an opportunity to share their views on their visit.
